To serve as focal unit for the development of floriculture in the State.
To Demonstrate new technology of flower cultivation to the growers
To act as a planting material bank for area expansion and demonstration programmes on commercial flowers
To serve as a training- cum-demonstration centre for post-harvest handling and processing of commercial flowers.
To develop/improve site specific technologies, method and systems of farming blended with modern technologies and infrastructural support.
To establish integrated pack house for market linkage.
To increase employment & income generation
To enhanced attraction of grower to take up floriculture as a business enterprise
To develop the basic infrastructures and to provide quality planting materials for maximising floriculture production and productivities
Main component of project are-
Land development
Infrastructures- Office building cum training hall, Chawkidar quarter, Labour shed cum ware house, Fencing, Gate, Naturally ventilated green house, Hi-Tech. propagation structure/Mist chamber, Integrated Pack House cum collection centre.
